GAYLE PRESLEY CLARE
Gayle Presley Clare, 68, of Opp, died Wed., April 23, 2014, in Mizell Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Sun., April 27 at 3 p.m. from Westview Baptist Church with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Gary Miller and Larry Jackson will be officiating.
Clare is survived by her husband, Jim Clare; daughter, Leslie (Andy) Jones; grandchildren, Megan Jones and Sydney Jones; brother, Tim (Annette) Presley; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan Presley and Ed Kohaut and Marilyn (Terry) Kendrick.
The family will be receiving friends at the home of Leslie Clare Jones.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to: Friends of the Library Fund, 1604 N. Main St., Opp, Alabama.

Kathryn W. Flowers, 56, of Andalusia, passed away Sun., April 13, 2014, at her residence.
A memorial service will be held Sat., April 26, at 3 p.m. at the Beda Baptist Church. The family would like to invite friends to join them at a covered dish meal following the service at the church.
Flowers is survived by her husband, Warren H. Brown III of Andalusia; daughters, Jessica Lynn (Bill) Lowder of Manning, S.C. and Dana Marie (Bradley) Walton of Coco Beach, Fla.; brother, William Oliver White Jr. of Manning; sister, Linda McLendon; and grandchildren, Bailey Lowder, Thomas Lowder and Miles Walton.
ALICIA MARIE STANTON
Alicia Marie Stanton, 30, of Kinston, passed away Tues., April 22, 2014, unexpectedly at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Sat., April 26, at 10 a.m. at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jeremy R. Louis will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 pm. Fri., April 25, at Keahey Funeral Home.
Stanton is survived by her fathers, Louie Frank Stanton of Gainesville, Fla. and Bobby Frank Stanton of Opp; mother, Eleanor Stanton of Opp; sons, Seth Wiggins, Jaden Martin and Christian Martin; daughters, Brianna Wiggins and Kylie Martin; brothers, Bobby Joe Stanton of Opp and Jesse Davis Stanton of Opp; sister, Nicole Webb of Opp; and grandmother, Odessie Stanton of Kinston.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Bobby Joe Stanton, Jesse Stanton, Travis Mitchell, Randall Ainsworth, Wayne Beck and JR Beck.
JON ANTHONY VANER
Jon Anthony “Tony” Varner, 64, of Red Level, died Wed., April 23, 2014, at his residence. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
Varner is survived by his sisters, Vickie (Clarance) Quates of Red Level, Gail Sappington of Oklahoma and Rosa (Audrey) Taylor of Mobile; brothers, Michael (Lisa) Varner of Dothan, Dalace (Penny) Varner of South Carolina, and Rickie (Tammy) Varner of New Brockton; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Obadiah Kervin.
