To the editor:

I can’t believe what the City of Florala has got themselves in to. Florala is a drug place anyway. This is all over the place. Now, this woman is making it even worse than it is. What is she thinking of? If she thinks she can straighten these addict people out, she better think again.

What if she tries to straighten some of these people out and then somehow they get away from her, then? What will she do? Let’s put it like this. She will be in for a long awakening. If you’re on drugs, you will be on drugs no matter what. You see, I know someone that had this problem. Our officers caught him, went before the judge, and was sent to Montgomery to try and clean him out for six months. Come back home and still on drugs.

You know there are young people around there that has young children that are taken care of. These people have to work every day to make a living. There would be a long awakening if something happens to these children. Then this would put our officers in charge. They would have to be invoked. I don’t know how they all feel about what will be going on. Also, can’t believe our mayor wants this to happen about bringing all of this here. Is this what this comes down to – money. Just want to say good luck. So just wait and see what happens.
