RLS, Samson split

Red Level split with Samson on Thursday.
After losing the first game 2-0, RLS came back to win the second game, 4-3.
Tigers coach Tony Ingram said the boys weren’t there for the first game.
“We were just uninspired as ever,” Ingram said. “We were never even into the game.”
Ingram said during the second game, the boys were off and on in spots.
RLS led 3-0, but SHS cut it to 3-2 going into the seventh inning.
SHS tied it up and RLS held its ground late.
Jeffrey Perdue earned the win on the mound after coming in in relief.
Perdue also had two RBIs.
RLS will be back in action at Andalusia on Monday.
Additionally, the Tigers — who finished runner up in Class 1A, Area 3 play — are looking to play at Kinston in the first round of the state playoffs.
