Straughn’s Keith Edgar hit a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth to help lead the Tigers to a 4-3 victory over Brantley on Tuesday night.

The Tigers will be back in action on Monday for a Class 3A, Area 2 contest against Southside in Selma.

In girls action, SHS fell 16-11 to Pleasant Home.

The Lady Tigers host Andalusia tomorrow, while the Lady Eagles start play in the AHS fastpitch tournament, which starts Friday.

Pleasant Home’s JV team won 3-0 over SHS.
