As time ticks away on the wait for this year’s June 24 Masonic Celebration in Florala, committee members are accepting submissions for the festival’s official artwork/drawing contest.

Organizer Kennith Jackson said the deadline for the artwork to be submitted is Mon., March 31, and the winner will receive some special recognition.

“The winner will be used as a pictorial postmark stamp and as our program cover,” Jackson said.

The winner will also receive $25 and recognition in the event’s program.

Jackson said the contest is open to all ages and the artwork or drawing must pertain to the June 24 Masonic Celebration.

Size of drawings or other artwork must be no larger than 8.5 inches by 11 inches.

Jackson said those entering the competition may submit as many entries as they would like; however, the entries will not be returned following the contest. Submissions should include name, age and contact information and should be sent to 24th of June Committee, P.O. Box 685, Florala, Al 36442.
