There are a bevy of basketball games that will take place Friday night as area tournament play starts for most teams around the state.

Locally, Andalusia, Straughn, Opp, Florala and Pleasant Home get underway in a couple days. Red Level ended its seasons in boys and girls at its tournament against McKenzie at Brantley on Tuesday.

Semifinal games are slated for Friday night with the championships to follow on Monday.

The schedules for each tournament based on classification and area are below:

Friday

Class 1A, Area 2 at Geneva County

• Pleasant Home girls vs. Kinston girls, 3 p.m.

• Pleasant Home boys vs. Kinston boys, 4:30 p.m.

• Geneva County girls vs. Florala girls, 6 p.m.

• Geneva County boys vs. Florala boys, 7:30 p.m.

Girls Championship: Mon., Feb. 10 at 5:30 p.m.

Boys Championship: Mon., Feb. 10 at 7 p.m.

Class 3A, Area 2 at Straughn

• Southside Selma girls vs. Excel girls, 3:30 p.m.

• Excel boys vs. Southside Selma boys, 5 p.m.

• Straughn girls vs. Opp girls, 6:30 p.m.

• Straughn boys vs. Opp boys, 8 p.m.

Girls Championship: Mon., Feb. 10 at 6 p.m.

Boys Championship: Mon., Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m.

Class 4A, Area 2 at Hillcrest-Evergreen
