It’s going to be a sweet New Year for members of the Straughn High School marching band as they take the field in this year’s Sugar Bowl.

Their trip began Monday morning at the high school and ended with their arrival in New Orleans. Rumor has it students are staying at the same hotel as the University of Alabama football team.

The group, which traveled to Louisiana on a charter bus, was able to get in a trip to the World War II museum before bunking down for the night.
