While the newest flat-screen TVs and game consoles may be attracting crowds to big box retailers this holiday season, the team at Sanders Fine Jewelry says they will be doing what they do year round – selling the finest in jewelry from many of the leading lines to men and women who know what merchandise never goes out of style.
Owner Donnie Sanders says trends come and go, but a beautifully cut diamond is forever.
“Diamonds are always big,” Sanders said. “This year, we are carrying what is called ‘Dancing Diamonds.’ They are shimmering diamonds. They are put together in a different way. They use a setting to place them, so when they are worn in a necklace, they shimmer every time her heart beats. You have to see it to believe it.”
Sanders said his store carries a variety of diamond jewelry, including pieces with a center stone, princess cut, round or oval setting.
“We have all of that here to look at,” he said.
Sanders also carries pearl jewelry and the latest in Fable-designed wedding bands for men and women.
“They are American made by a company out of Utah,” Sanders said of the popular brand. “They are an alternative to gold. They come in wood grains, even camouflage. They also come in tungsten, titanium and cobalt.”
Sanders said another popular line this year is the newest in silver diamond jewelry from Gabriel.
“We have a large, complete line of bridal jewelry,” he said. “They use laser welding, which is state-of-the-art. It’s eight times stronger than using a normal torch.”
Sanders Fine Jewelry, located at 200A West Gate Plaza in Andalusia, is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., but will hold special holiday hours this week.
The store will open on Black Friday, as well as Saturday, at 8 a.m. and will close Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m.
Sanders said customers may also visit gabrielny.com; asashijewelry.com and fabledesigns.net to get a sense of what lines of jewelry the store carries.
