Alverson earns Rawls Atkins award

Andalusia native and former Auburn stand out Blanche Alverson received the Leah Rawls Atkins award recently.
Alverson played guards and forward to the women’s basketball team at Auburn, and ranked second all time for three-pointers made at 233. Additionally, Alverson was also the fourth player in Auburn history to grab 1,00 points, 500 rebounds, 100 assists, 100 steals and 50 blocks during her career.
She was named the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for two consecutive years in 2012 and 2013.
Alverson lives in Zamora, Spain, where she is playing professional basketball.
