‘Thanks’ is not enough

As recipient of the “Tailgating for Deb” benefit held at Red Level’s Crystal Springs Park last Sat., Nov. 9, I am truly grateful for such an amazing and wonderful day. My family and I are overwhelmed by it all.
I have so many people to thank, but listing individuals here is impossible because there are so many. I am so thankful to: God for a beautiful day, the great event organizers, the many volunteers, all the ladies (and gents) from my church who prepared and served approximately 400 plates of food, Dozier Fire Department for cooking all the Boston butts, the vendors who came with their wares including all the kids activities, merchants and individuals who contributed items to the auction, all those who baked countless cakes for the auction, the auctioneer, the many entertainers, the sound equipment, the tent and recliner for me, those who brought and set up the big screen for the Auburn game, those who were responsible for the clean up, all those who came from near and far during the day, and those who came by my tent to visit awhile or just say ‘Hello.’ So many have showered me with their time, love, and support and I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart.
Due to a long illness with complications, I have not been able to work since March. Certainly I would be amiss if I failed to mention family members, friends and area churches who have helped me financially in the last eight months leading up to the benefit. Those offerings helped me maintain my household bills, but now, with the proceeds from the benefit, I will be able to pay my medical expenses that have accumulated.
I believe one of the greatest things anyone can do for another is to pray for them. I know many, many prayers have been lifted for me. I ask you continue to pray for me as I still have some problems. I am so ready to be well and return to work and all of life’s activities as soon as possible.
God has truly blessed me with a great multitude of wonderful friends. My family and I pray He richly blesses all of you.
In Christ’s Love,
Debbie Foley Russell and family
