Playoffs provide perfect theater

When the grass turns brown and you’re playing football, then you must be doing something right.
I read that sentiment in The Decatur Daily shortly before the third round of the state playoffs last Thanksgiving, and those words hold true today.
Tomorrow night, the Alabama High School Athletic Association will hold the first round of the state football playoffs.
We have three teams who are competing this week in Andalusia, Straughn and Opp.
The Bulldogs (8-2) host Childersburg, the Tigers (7-2) host Northside and the Bobcats (5-5) travel to Fayette County.
Andalusia is hoping to get out of a four-game first-round slump, Straughn is vying for another shot at making it to the finals and Opp’s trying to advance farther than it has ever been before.
This year’s postseason should provide some good theater for all of our three teams.
Pull back the curtains and let the show begin because there are three teams here that don’t want to see the end just yet.
