Editor’s note: This letter to Congresswoman Martha Roby was submitted as a letter to the editor.

 

Dear Rep. Roby:

Stay away from, stay out of, Syria! It is a lose-lose situation.

Speaker Boehner is half-baked! To add insult to injury, this moron is the Republican leader in the House.

Speaker Boehner supports the president’s “call for action”! Just what does that mean? The answer: nothing.

Speaker Boehner says: “This type of behavior is not going to be tolerated.” That statement proves that he is simpleminded. What does Speaker Boehner propose: cruise missiles on whom – the Syrian Tiny-Tots Nursery! That would show them that the USA practices zero-tolerance, wouldn’t it?

I digress. Sept. 19, will be my 73rd birthday. Fifty years ago this coming Sept. 19, I was a small piece of a “call to action” – the place, the Republic of Vietnam! I arrived at Tan Son Nhut, AB, Saigon, Vietnam, on Sept. 19, 1963. Concerning Communism there, America was to practice zero-tolerance.

That “call to action” left 58,000 plus Americans dead and thousands wounded. For some of us, a “call to action” meant blood and guts on the ground, not merely fancy words!

As for zero-tolerance, in Vietnam Uncle Ho Chi Minh’s communism reigns. Freedom, Christianity, for the Vietnamese people is disallowed. You see, zero-tolerance works both ways especially when the “call for action” is meaningless, proposed by a president who leads from behind, and a Republican speaker of the House who is gullible enough to board the resident’s train and ride in the red caboose. (Query: Is the train the Red Line Express?)
