If I could put everything about our Meredith’s Miracles Fish Fry into one word, it would be “Wow!” We had a wonderful turn out. We served 500 meals, sold T-shirts and had one fantastic bake sale.
Meredith’s family and I would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the businesses that helped us with everything we needed to be successful this year. Thank you to WAAO and WFXX for keeping us on the air daily, and thank you to The Star News for keeping us in print daily! A big thank you goes to Steamboat, Simone’s Cafe and Confectionery, Sugar Rush, Dean’s Cake House, David’s Catfish, Larry’s BBQ, Church’s Chicken, Pizza Hut, Hilltop Meats, Hook’s BBQ, Zaxby’s, Crow’s Nest, JCPenney, Huddle House, Walmart, Captain D’s, Sonic, Winn Dixie, Dairy Queen, Power South, Dr. Bang and Harper Electric.
Thank you to all of our volunteers who came by to help make sure that everything went well, and a special “thank you” goes to Southside Baptist Church for the use of their Family Life Center and to Lowe Dillard and the Men’s Association for their excellent fish frying skills!
Our community, all of you, never cease to amaze us. We love you and surely include each and every one of you in our little group we like to call “Meredith’s Miracle Workers.” Without you, we would not be able to continue in the “helping business.”
