There will be a planned power outage for a select group of Andalusia residents as utility employees make upgrades to the system.

Phillip Shiver, line crew foreman, said all of King Street and Jackson Avenue, as well as part of Auburn Avenue and the entire 600 block of Riley Street will be impacted by the outage.

The crew will begin at 7 a.m. upgrading power lines, and power should be restored by lunch, Shiver said.
