It was a sendoff fit for a queen Thursday as a celebration was held in support of Jane Lucas’ mission to become Ms. Alabama Nursing Home 2013. Lucas, a resident of Andalusia Manor, is vying against nine other contestants for the title. The pageant will be held on Mon., July 22, in Birmingham. Family and friends, as well as fellow residents, attended the reception. Here, Sarah Catherine Sanson, granddaughter of Manor resident Rebecca McKathan Perkins, honors Lucas with a dozen roses.
