Residents will soon be able to watch county commission meetings from anywhere there is an Internet signal.

A contract executed Wednesday between the county commission and Copeland Computer Solutions to put the project in motion.

Done “in the interest of government transparency,” the videos will be posted on Ustream after noon on meeting days. Residents would view the video by following a link on the county’s website, and the program could be designed to allow for the online video archival of meetings.
