Andalusia, Straughn and Opp will be competing for the right to go to Gulf Shores today in their respective area softball tournaments.

The Lady Bulldogs are hosting the Class 4A, Area 2 tournament, which will be held at the Dwight Mikel Sports Complex.

Straughn is hosting the Class 3A, Area 2 tournament, which starts at 9 a.m.

Andalusia faces Wilcox Central at 10 a.m. today in its first game of the winner’s bracket.

The Lady Tigers face Southside Selma at 10:30 a.m. right after Opp squares off against Excel in the first game at 9.

The championship game is slated for 3 p.m. at the Class 4A, Area 2 tournament, and at 4:30 p.m. for the Class 3A, Area 2 tournament.

Both tournaments are in double elimination format, and the winner and runner up from each advance to play in the South Regional Tournament in Gulf Shorts next weekend.
