The Opp Bobcats dropped three spots to No. 9 in the Class 3A Alabama Sports Writers Association baseball poll, which was released today.

After the Bobcats swept Straughn to win the Class 3A, Area 2 championship, they fell in two games to rival Andalusia on Tuesday to fall to 20-6 on the season.

Last week, OHS was No. 6.

Opp’s girls rose to No. 8 after winning Ariton’s softball tournament on Saturday. The Lady Bobcats lost 5-1 to Excel on Tuesday, but that didn’t hurt them in the rankings.

The Lady Bobcats are now 18-5 on the season.

Pleasant Home fell two spots to No. 4 in the Class 1A poll after falling 7-4 to Montgomery Catholic, and 3-2 to Geneva in the last week.

The Lady Eagles sit at 11-8 on the season.
