Opp remains No. 8 in baseball poll

Opp remained at No. 8 in Class 3A in this week’s Alabama Sports Writers Assocation’s baseball poll, which was released today.
The Bobcats (10-2) defeated Southside Selma 18-1, 11-0 in an area doubleheader last Thursday.
OHS travels to face Excel in area action today for one game.
In the softball poll, the Lady Bobcats moved up to the No. 9 spot after their 10-0 area victory over Excel on Tuesday night.
The OHS girls remain undefeated at 10-0 on the season.
Opp will play next in Straughn’s annual KLD Softball Tournament on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. against SHS.
Pleasant Home (8-4) dropped to No. 1 in the Class 1A softball poll after a 10-5 loss to Brantley Tuesday night.
The Lady Eagles defeated Straughn 10-4 on Monday night.
Andalusia, in Class 4A, was nominated but not ranked in the baseball poll.
The Bulldogs improved to 15-4 after a doubleheader sweep over rival Straughn on Tuesday.
