Pleasant Home beat New Brockton 4-2 on Tuesday night, but it wasn’t the way Lady Eagles’ coach Bradley Stephens would have his girls win.
The Lady Eagles scored early with two runs in the first inning and afterward, they chipped away a little bit, the coach said.
“We had base runners in scoring position in most of the innings,” Stephens said. “We hit the ball pretty well. We had good hits and timely hits at times.”
With this win, PHS improves to 6-3 on the season.
Ashley Copeland pitched a complete game, walked two batters and struck out four.
“She made it to where it was very routine for my defense to play tonight,” Stephens said about his top pitcher.
