Pleasant Home picked up its first win of the season Tuesday night as the Eagles defeated Samson 9-8 at SHS.
Hunter Greathouse led PHS and went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a single and two RBIs.
“We’ve still got a long way to go,” PHS coach Lamar Gibson said. “Our pitching’s been pretty good. We’ve just got to play defense behind it and continue to hit the ball.”
The Eagles (1-5) will be back in action on Friday at home against Geneva County.
“I think they’re going to be a good opponent,” Gibson said about GCHS. “They’re a pretty good 1A team. They’ve been playing good ball lately.”
PHS will start area play the week after next against Red Level.
