It is unknown if charges will be filed in the Christmas Day wreck that killed a Georgia woman near McKenzie.
Trooper Kevin Cook said Thursday that investigation continues into the crash that claimed the life of 27-year-old Celeste McCormick of Roswell, Ga., and injured her husband, Ryan.
Accident reports showed that the McCormick’s 2003 Honda was struck by a 2003 Chevrolet, driven by Brandon Ray Sellers, 20, of McKenzie.
Mr. McCormick, who was driving the vehicle, was transported to a Montgomery hospital, and according to family friends, is expected to be released sometime today.
Sellers was transported to Andalusia Regional Hospital and later released.
The crash happened on U.S. Hwy. 31 at the intersection of Alabama Hwy. 55, about one mile south of McKenzie.
No comment was given on whether or not alcohol played a role in the wreck.
