Eagles look to sprout late

Pleasant Home may have a young batch of players, but Eagles’ head coach Jerry Davis said with a little experience on the court, they could have some “scary good” results this season.
Leading the way will be seniors — Lance Davis and Ty Hammett.
“We’re going to be playing sophomores and freshmen,” Davis said. “They’ve got talent, but no experience.
“It’s going to take some time to get together, but by the end, we might scare somebody,” he said.
Additionally, the Eagles will also have Jon Cole Chesser back on the court. Chesser played well last year, Davis said.
The Eagles will compete in Class 1A, Area 2 with Geneva County, Kinston and Florala.
Davis said the Wildcats will be the team to beat.
“Right now, Florala’s definitely the dominant team,” he said.
