Dozier Police Chief Terry Mears said Wednesday afternoon, two suspects had been detained for questioning but no arrests had been made following a robbery of a Dozier convenience store Friday night.
Mears said he expects formal charges to be filed Thursday morning.
The suspects were allegedly armed with a sawed-off shotgun and took money from a cash register, Newport cigarettes and gin from the Dozier Corner Market, which is owned by Jan Cook.
The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. on Friday.
Mears also said that several pieces of physical evidence had been recovered from the vicinity of the crime scene.
