Stabbing suspect pleads guilty

A Gantt man, initially charged with attempted murder, has pled to assault in a July stabbing incident.
Brian McClellan, 52, pled guilty to stabbing 33-year-old Dickie Lambert in the lower left abdomen area. McClellan, who was represented by Grady Lanier, was sentenced to 20 years in prison. His was among the 20-plus cases disposed by the Covington County District Attorney’s Office in September.
Others entering guilty pleas included:

• William B. Burleson, to arson II and sentenced to five years in prison. Attorney: Corey Bryan
• Sara Ann Butler, to chemical endangerment of a child and sentenced to 15 years in prison. Attorney: Rod Sylvester
• Joseph P. Cender, to theft of property II and sentenced to 31 months probation. Attorney: Chris Sledge
• Michael J. Edwards, to unlawful possession of a controlled substance and entered drug court. Attorney: David Baker
• Susan M. Fontenot, to theft of property II and sentenced to 31 months probation. Attorney: Mark Christensen
• Willie Lee Glover, to unlawful possession of a marijuana and sentenced to six years imprisonment. Attorney: Larry Grissett
• Antonio L. Hall, to theft of property I and sentenced to 10 years in prison.

• Kenneth D. Harrison, to unlawful possession of a controlled substance and sentenced to six years in prison. Attorney: Sonny James
• Nicholas C. Hines, to felony driving while under the influence and in a separate case, to unlawful possession of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to 10 years concurrent time in prison on the cases. Attorney: Bill Alverson
• Randi M. Jay, to unlawful possession of a controlled substance and entered into drug court. Attorney: Sonny James
• Dana C. Jewell, to unlawful possession of a controlled substance and sentenced to eight years in prison. Attorney: Trey Burgess
• Roderick D. Jones, to unlawful possession of a marijuana I and sentenced to drug court.

• Rashad M. Jordan, to receiving stolen property II and sentenced to three years in prison.

• Christopher M. Lafogg, to burglary III and domestic violence III and sentenced to 10 years and 1 year in prison respectively. Attorney: Bill Alverson
• Jermaine Pate, to use of false identify to obstruct justice and sentenced to 10 years in prison. Attorney: Bill Alverson
• George Pichon III, to unlawful possession of a controlled substance and sentenced to eight years in prison. Attorney: Deb Smith
• Micah T. Rider, to unlawful possession of a marijuana I and sentenced to five years in prison; however, an probation hearing is set for Nov. 15. Attorney: Manish Patel
• Tiffany Ann Riley, to willful abuse of a child and sentenced to six years in prison; however, a probation hearing is set for Nov. 15. Attorney: Chris Sledge
• Walter M. Sheppard, to unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance I and sentenced to 15 years imprisonment. Attorney: Larry Grissett
• Brendan Todd Smith, to unlawful possession of a controlled substance and sentenced to 32 months probation. Attorney: Bart Boothe
• Chase A. Smith, to receiving stolen property I and sentenced to six years in prison. In a separate case, he pled to rape II and was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Attorney: Manish Patel
• Joshua S. Spenard, to unlawful possession of a controlled substance and entered drug court. Attorney: Rod Sylvester
• Lee Roy Stewart, to fraudulent use of a credit/debit card and sentenced to 15 years in prison. Attorney: David Baker
