Florala’s varsity volleyball team will be holding a yard sale and barbecue sandwich sale on Saturday from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the parking lot of Country Folks in Florala.
FHS coach Joea McNeil said the fundraiser will be held to “purchase additional equipment and to help offset expenses such as for travel, officials and others.”
The Lady Wildcats fell to Pleasant Home Tuesday night in their first area contest of the season.
FHS fell 14-25, 6-25, 17-25 to a dominant Lady Eagles team.
“Pleasant Home has a lot of talent and played really well,” McNeil said. “Our girls were a little nervous, but what really got us were a lot of errors.”
FHS hosts Laurel Hill today at 4 p.m.
