In celebration of its Pearl (30th) anniversary this year, the Andalusia Ballet has added a new event to its annual auction benefit, set for Saturday night at the Andalusia Country Club.
The auction sports a Caribbean Calypso theme, and an oyster dive is part o the festivities. Lucky oysters will have a pearl inside. Prizes include a gift certificate to Atlas Oyster House in Pensacola, a “mother of pearl” lamp donated by Dianne Phillips, a “mother of pearl” framed large wall mirror donated by Gigi’s Tutu and a beautiful pearl pendant necklace donated by Christopher’s.
The Atlas Oyster House and the Fish House Restaurant in Pensacola contributed the oyster shells for this event.
The annual event features silent and live auctions, as well as food and entertainment.
A steel drummer from Atlanta will be part of the Caribbean-themed entertainment, as will dances by students of the Andalusia Ballet.
The attire is island casual, and the food also will have a Caribbean theme.
Tickets are $35 each, and are available from the Andalusia Ballet and at the door. The event begins at 6 p.m. at the Andalusia County Club.
