10U All-Stars slide by Atmore, 11-10

Reese Burkhardt and Brandon Langley went 3-for-4 each at the plate and scored two runs each to help Andalusia overcome a 10-2 deficit to claim a 11-10 victory over Atmore at the Cal Ripken 10U tournament in Evergreen.
Chase Harper threw a one-hitter and struck out four batters over the last two innings to seal the victory.
Jacob Cravey and Caleb Mcleod had two hits; and Harper, Noah Gooden, Ellis Mount, John Allen Wise and Garrett Simpler all had a hit in leading the Bulldogs (2-1) in the win. Andalusia scored seven runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to close the gap to 10-9. The Bulldogs were led in the fifth on singles by Burkhardt and Langley.
Andalusia took the lead for good when McLeod hit a base clearing triple. Harper struck out the first two batters in the sixth and Cravey made a terrific on the run scoop and throw play at shortstop to get the final batter at first.
The Bulldogs continued action against Flomaton at 6 p.m. last night.
