Alabama’s second-ranked women’s golf team increased its lead after the second round in the NCAA Championships in Franklin, Tenn. on Wednesday. Twelve team members were still on the course when The Star-News went to press Wednesday night. UA shot a 3-under 285 on yesterday to give itself a total of 5-under 571. The tournament will end on Friday, and of the teams finished after the second round, UCLA is the Crimson Tides’ nearest opponent on the scoreboard.
