Authorities confirmed Thursday that there was a 1-year-old child in the vehicle with the Opp woman who died in a car accident on Wednesday.

Bryson Barefoot of Opp, was injured and transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.

The accident occurred at 4:02 p.m. on Airport Road, when State Troopers said 19-year-old Taylor Danielle Blair of Opp, who was driving a 2008 Nissan Sentra, crossed the yellow line and struck a 1995 Chevrolet pickup. Blair was pronounced dead at the scene.

Opp High School students were mourning the loss of their former classmate, Blair, who graduated last year, officials said Thursday.

The driver of the Chevy, Jerry Wingard Jr., 33, of Andalusia, received no injuries; however, his passenger John Jasinski, 41, also of Andalusia, was injured and taken to Andalusia Regional Hospital.

State Troopers continue to investigate the accident.
