One article should have been enough

To the editor,
I am writing you this letter because I feel if you an publish articles about me, then you can certainly publish one from me.
People make mistakes every single day of their lives and if they say they don’t, then they are lying to themselves and everyone else. Mistakes much bigger than the one I have made that I have had to read about not one, not twice, but three times.
I am not saying that you don’t have the right, just that once should be sufficient. As far as me being possibly the worst best friend a girl could have, well, Mrs. (Stephanie) Nelson is entitled to her own opinions.
I have asked for forgiveness for my mistake. I have learned a lot from it and wish every day that I could take it back. Here are just the top five things I have learned:
1. After 16 years of friendship, think of the worst thing possible then do that, as long as you live you will never be ready for all the tears you will cry.
2. Be prepared to miss the people that you hurt.
3. Be aware of how difficult it will be to move past it, since others will never let you.
4. Realize that almost every single person you know will turn their backs on you. If everyone’s deeds that were done in the dark were brought to light, people would not be so quick to shake their head and point their fingers at others.
5. Finally, be thankful for the people who have decided to stand beside you and love you past the mistakes.
If you feel thte need to publish articles about me once more or every single day until the end of your paper’s existence that will be fine. You cannot make someone feel worse about themselves than they already do, I can assure you of this. A lawyer once told me that good people make terrible mistakes sometimes. I tend to agree. I still believe in the power of love and forgiveness. God is not a respecter of persons and he will forgive you for your sins no matter who you are and what you have done. We as a society would do well to take not from that lesson.
You will probably never publish this and that will be fine, too. I just needed you to know that even though people sometimes make the worst kind of mistake they still have feelings.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Marie Messick
