Andalusia head basketball coach Richard Robertson said Friday the Andalusia Bulldogs will kick off their 2011-2012 basketball season on Monday at home.

Robertson said the teams will take on the Dothan Tigers beginning with B-team action at 4:30 p.m., followed by the girls and boys varsity teams.

“This is really monumental,” he said. “We’ll play Dothan on Monday and Enterprise on Thursday. They are the two largest schools in District 2.”

The Bulldogs will travel to play Enterprise Thursday at 4:30 p.m. with the B-team, followed by the varsity teams.

Robertson said the teams will kickoff tournament play next Saturday in the Enterprise Thanksgiving Tournament.

The girls will play at 10 a.m. and the boys at 11:30 a.m.

“We hope everyone will come out and support us,” he said. “I’ll announce next week who we will play in the tournament.”
