Despite participating in a 9-6 loss to No. 1 LSU on Saturday, Alabama junior linebacker and former Andalusia stand out Nico Johnson had a good night for the Tide, tallying 11 tackles against the Tigers offense.

Johnson has 35 total tackles this season, three more than Dequan Menzie and Courtney Upshaw.

“His role has increased a lot in the last few games,” Alabama coach Nick Saban said about Johnson during his weekly press conference on Monday. “He’s been more productive because of it.”

Alabama will travel to play Mississippi State this Saturday at 6:45 p.m. on ESPN.
