Jamal Hourel scored three rushing touchdowns and added a passing score to help lead the Andalusia PeeWee Bulldogs to a 34-0 victory over Straughn on Saturday night.

“We worked on a lot of new looks this week and passing was a big part of our offense (Saturday night),” Andalusia PeeWee coach Casey Jones said. “The offensive line did a good job of staying on the line and pass-blocking.”

With this victory, the Bulldogs locked up the division championship with one game left in the regular season.

Andalusia will travel to play Crestview in Florida this Saturday night at 7.

Hourel scored 60, 1 and 37 yards for his touchdowns.

Hourel scored his first touchdown on Andalusia’s first offensive possession, and completed the drive with a pass to Grant Holley for the extra point.

The Bulldogs’ defense stepped up and only allowed one Straughn first down for the night.

Will Clark led Andalusia with eight tackles. R.J. Drish and Kenderick Smith also had tackles.

Andalusia went up 21-0 on the Bulldogs’ third offensive possession, where Hourel took it in from 37 yards out.

The Bulldogs took a 28-0 halftime lead when B.J. Anderson rushed in from 50 yards for a score, and Hourel connected with Kendrick Brown for the extra point.

Andalusia held Straughn to a punt, and started on its own 40-yard line.

Hourel was 6-of-8 for 73 yards.

The last touchdown for Andalusia came when Michael Landrum scampered 46 yards for the score.

The playoffs for the PeeWee football league begin Sat., Oct. 22.
