Chairman Lynn Sasser said Monday commissioners are “considering all aspects of a leash law and will probably talk about it at the next meeting.”

His comment came at the end of a less than 10 minute commission meeting. and was directed to local resident Mignon Page. Page, who’d attended her third meeting in a row to inquire about the county adopting some sort of animal control policy, said she plans to address commissioners until some sort of action is taken.

The only item of business was the approval of out-of-state travel for two sheriff’s deputies to attend training in Mississippi.

The next commission meeting will be held on July 25 at 9:30 a.m.
