Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Lyndon Hamm of Vestavia Hills announce the engagement of their daughter Claire Elizabeth, to Mr. Clayton Ross Posey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Ross Posey of Andalusia.

The bride elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Martin Sartain and Mr. and Mrs. Lotuce Lee Hamm Jr. of Vesitvia Hills.

She is a graduate of Auburn University, where she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and majored in political science.

The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Rayford Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Danny Ross Posey of Andalusia.

He is the great-grandson of Mrs. Marvin Eugene Hammett and Mrs. William Crayton Posey of Andalusia and Mr. and Mrs. James Harold Watson of Georgiana.

He attended Auburn University, where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. He will attend Harrison School of Pharmacy in the fall.

The couple will be married in a ceremony August 6 at Brookwood Baptist Church in Mountain Brook.
