Marty and Michelle Chesteen of Babbie announce the engagement of their daughter, Keri Michelle Chesteen of Babbie, to Jacob Daniel McCollough of Andalusia, the son of Kathy Hassell McCollough and Danny and Lynn McCollough of Andalusia.

The bride-elect graduated from Opp High School in 2003 and graduated from Troy University in May 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in social work.

She was a member of Kappa Delta sorority while at Troy and graduated from Auburn University in May with a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling.

She is the granddaughter of Betty and the late Buck Dubose of Opp and Peggy and the late Gerald Chesteen in Antioch.

The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of Andalusia High School.

He is currently employed with Grand Isle Shipyard in Mobile.

He is the grandson of the late Don and Annette Hassell of Andalusia; John and Annette McCollogu of Grand Bay, and Ray and Mary Thorpe of Mobile.

The wedding will be held Oct. 22, 2011, at Southside Baptist Church in Andalusia.
