Gumbo, Poker Run, 5K set today

• South Central Mental Health will hold a gumbo dinner and silent auction at Southside Baptist Church’s family life center from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.
• Running for a Reason, a 5K run/walk, benefiting Jacob Kelley, will be held at 6 p.m. at Harold’s Furniture. Kelley, the son of Brian and Kerri Kelley, was born with multiple birth defects.
Cost is $20 for adults, $15 for students and $5 for fun run.
• A poker run and classic car show are planned this today to benefit Covington County’s Imagination Library.
The event is planned for the parking lot of Marvin’s/Tractor Supply, with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Participation is $10 for bikes/cars and $5 for extra hands.
