Russell, Bryant wed in March

Laura Kathryn Russell and Stephen Brooks Bryant were married March 26 at Halyard’s Village Creek Landing in St. Simon’s Island, Ga., with Hallie Epperson officiating the 6 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Clifton Russell of Atlanta. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Clara Hilderbrand Camp of Atlanta, and the late Elwood Harry Camp, Mrs. Ida Mae Dunn Russell of Rome, Ga., and the late Marvin Clifton Russell Sr.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Elwood Bryant of Tuscaloosa. He is the grandson of Mrs. Lula Pouncey of Montgomery, and the late Theodore Rutherford Pouncey, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Edward Bryant of Andalusia.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless white gown with A-line skirt and slight train.

The bride was attended by Emily Askew Russell of Atlanta, sister-in-law of the bride, as matron of honor. Mary West Estes of Chattanooga, Tenn., served as flower girl.

Stephen Elwood Bryant, father of the groom, served his son as best man. Jay Patrick Bryant of Nashville, Tenn., and William Scott Russell of Altanta, served as groomsmen, and Jeffery Thomas Douglas of Andalusia, served as usher.

After a trip to St. John, the couple will live in Atlanta.
