The Opp Bobcats won its area series over Luverne Friday night.

The Bobcats lost the first game 5-4 in eight innings, and won the second game 11-1.

Opp improved to 3-3 in Class 3A, Area 2 after the second-game win, and will have to wait the result of the Luverne-Geneva area series next week to see whether it has secured a spot in the playoffs.

Opp will travel to Brantley on Monday night for a doubleheader, and will play host to Andalusia next Thurs., April 14, for a doubleheader on senior night.
