Bobcats rout Pike County

For the last two days, Opp’s scored 54 runs over Pike County in area baseball action.
The Bobcats beat the Bulldogs 25-3 Friday night and 29-4 Thursday night.
Opp 25, Pike County 3
T.J. Bess pitched three innings, struck out three and allowed one hit. Russell Mosley pitched one inning and had three strikeouts, and Hunter Roeser pitched one inning.
Thomas Weed was 4-for-4 with one home run; T.J. Register was 4-for-5 with two doubles and one triple; Trey Short, Drew Smith and Lance Robbins were 2-for-3 each.
Opp 29, Pike County 4
Opp (15-7, and 2-0 in Class 3A, Area 2) got 30 hits Thursday night, and Mosley led the Bobcats, going 5-for-6 behind the plate with one home run.
Short also hit a home run, and was 4-for-4.
Register was 2-for-3, Jantzen Flowers was 3-for-5 and Robbins was 3-for-4.
Flowers, pitching five innings, struck out nine and allowed four hits.
