HA beats Andy tennis singles

Andalusia split with Houston Academy in boys singles and doubles tennis action Thursday afternoon at LBWCC.
The Bulldogs lost 4-2 in singles, and won 2-1 in doubles.
Additionally, the Lady Bulldogs won one match in singles and two matches in doubles.
Singles – Boys
Andalusia’s Mayur Patel and David May earned the only wins in singles Thursday afternoon.
In the No. 2 seed, Patel beat Houston Academy’s McDavid Maddox 8-1, and May beat Houston Academy’s Sean Christiansen in a tiebreaker 8-8 (7-3) in the No. 6 seed.
Andalusia’s Alex Evans lost to Houston Academy’s Wes Duerson 3-8; Andalusia’s Jackson Moore lost to Houston Academy’s Caleb Braswell 8-0; Andalusia’s Jonathan Wiggins lost to Houston Academy’s Alec Aliabadi 7-5; and Andalusia’s Brandon Scruggs lost to Houston Academy’s Mathan Boley 7-5.
Doubles – Boys
Andalusia’s Chris Smith and Evans defeated Duerson and Boley 8-3; Patel and Moore defeated Maddox and Chrstiansen 8-2; and Braswell and Aliabadi defeated Scruggs and May 8-3.
Singles – Girls
Andalusia’s Meredith Tillman won the only singles match for the Lady Bulldogs in a tiebreaker. She won 7-7 (8-6).
Doubles – Girls
Andalusia’s Lauren Beasley and Jennifer Botta won 8-1; and Maggie Jones and Tillman won 8-6.
