AHS boys defeat Greenville in DH

Andalusia’s varsity baseball team got its first home wins of the season Friday night with a doubleheader sweep over Greenville.
The Bulldogs beat the Tigers 6-5 in the first game and 12-6 in the second game.
“We played a lot better in the second game,” AHS coach Jonathan Rasberry said. “It was good to get a win and get over that hump.”
The Bulldogs improve to 2-2 on the season and will play in the Samson this Friday and Saturday.
Andalusia will play Geneva at 5 p.m. Friday, and its first game is at 10 a.m. Saturday in the round robin tournament.
Andalusia 6, Greenville 5
Andalusia’s Zach Ward was 3-for-4; Quinton Maddox and C.P. Rogers were 1-for-2 each; and Robert Woodall was 1-for-4.
Rogers earned the win on the mound for the Bulldogs.
Andalusia 12, Greenville 6
Woodall was 3-for-3; Dilan Manring was 3-for-4; Maddox was 2-for-4; Ward and David Mahaffey were 1-for-3 each.
