Pleasant Home beat Daleville 56-44 on Friday night at the SHS Christmas Shoot Out.
“It was a lot better than it was last night,” PHS coach Jerry Davis said about the win.
Pleasant Home lost to Straughn 47-29 on Thursday night.
The Eagles led 16-6 after the first period, and led 36-18 at half time.
Davis said from there on out, the team took “control” of the game.
“Once we got control of the ball game, we controlled the tempo from there on out,” he said.
At the start of Friday night’s game, the Eagles stepped up their offensive attack, and Davis said Daleville adjusted well.
“We did (execute well) early, and then they changed out and had some half court trapping us,” Davis said.
The Eagles will play Georgiana at 4 p.m. today for fourth and fifth place.
Pleasant Home improves to 6-3 on the season.
Game notes: Daleville’s coach, Troy Turman, faced his alma mater for the first time in his career. Turman was on the 2001-2002 Pleasant Home state championship team.
