One person is dead and another critically injured following a fatal accident near Opp Saturday.

Alabama State Troopers report the accident occurred at noon, when a 2001 Ford Windstar van collided with a 2008 Ford Express van before overturning on U.S. Hwy. 84, about 10 miles west of Opp.

One of those ejected was killed and the other injured.

The driver of the Ford Express van was injured and taken to a local hospital in Opp.

Identities of those involved in the accident have not been released as Troopers continue to investigate the accident.
