Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Fowler, along with Mr. Bob Carter, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth Chappell Carter, to Kenneth Kevin Griffin.

The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Andalusia High School and a 2003 graduate of Troy University, where she pursued a degree in criminal justice and psychology. She is currently employed with Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood Inc. and the Covington County Judicial Court System.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. David Lyon Gordon Sr. and the late Rebecca Felder Gordon of Irvington, Ala., and of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Quincey Carte, Sr. of Goshen.

The prospective groom is the son of the late Kenneth Lavelle Griffin of Andalusia and the late Rebecca Caroline Whisonant of Opp. He is the great grandson of the late Max and Eunice Johnson of Horn Hill.

He is employed with Ensco International Drilling.

The wedding is scheduled for Oct. 9, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church in Andalusia.
