Justin Edward Savage and Megan Lynn Carter would like to announce their engagement.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Jerry Carter of Sanford and Torry Hicks of North Carolina.

She is the granddaughter of Gerald and Monette Carter of Babbie. She is also the granddaughter of Darlene Hicks and the late Robert Hicks of North Carolina.

She is currently employed at the Sharp Edge in Opp.

The prospective groom is the son of Stanley and Colleen Savage of Gantt. He is the grandson of Evelyn Scott of Jay, Fla., and the late Paul Savage.

He is also the grandson of Milton and Annette Reese of Andalusia.

He is currently employed at Brooks Peanuts in Samson.

The ceremony will take place Sat., Oct. 30, 2010, at 3:30 p.m. at Point A Lodge in the Gantt community.
