The Pleasant Home Lady Eagles ended their volleyball season at the Class 1A Region A tournament in Kinston on Saturday.

In the opening match, the Lady Eagles fell to Holy Spirit 3-0, thus ending their try for a sub-state berth. Holy Spirit went on to beat Kinston in the championship match, 3-2.

PHS coach Jerry Davis said he was “proud” of the girls this season.

“This was the girls first winning season,” he said. “I’m proud of our girls, and we’ll have them all back next year.”

Pleasant Home ended its season with a 13-11 record.
