Opp finished as the Class 3A, Area 2 runner up Monday in area volleyball action.

The Lady Bobcats fell to Geneva 3-2 in the title game, falling by two points in the final game.

“They played really hard,” OHS volleyball coach Christie Spurlin said. “I think we had five girls miss serves, and I think that just killed it right there — just giving them free points they didn’t need to have at the time.”

Opp will travel back to Geneva to play in the Class 3A South Regional tournament this Saturday, where the Lady Bobcats will face Montgomery Academy at 11:15 a.m. in the first match of the day.

“It’s going to be a very tough game,” Spurlin said of Montgomery Academy. “But, we’re going to try our best.”

*In other local volleyball action Monday night, Red Level finished as the runner up in the Class 2A, Area 6 tournament to Goshen.
