Last Saturday, doggies made a mad dash for the finish line as part of the annual Andalusia Area Humane Society’s Doggie Dash fundraiser.

Awards were given for the most fashionable, the best trick, the most interesting, and of course, the cutest and ugliest dogs.

Winners were in the:

• Pup Race: Theo Clark, first place;

• Junior Pup Race: Dalton Spears, first place with Zoe;

• Senior Pup Race: Seth Dooley, first place with Abbie; Joe Snider, second place; and Mathew Riedel, third place with Rusty;

• Big Dog Race: Ana Sara Kip, first place:

• Doggie Dash Hero Awards: Dalton Spears, $300, and Theo Clark $65;

Contest winters were:

• Most Fashionable: Brie Stacks with Phoebe;

• Dog Trick: Ferris Dooley with Abbie;

• Friendliest Dog: Theo Clark with Clifford;

• Interesting Mutt: Mattie Riedel with Rusty;

• Cutest: Joseph Snider with Lacey;

• Ugliest: Seth Dooley with Brindle.
